Airtel Uganda has announced that its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, and will be conducted entirely through electronic means.

According to the notice issued by the telecommunications company, shareholders will participate in the meeting virtually, in line with the company’s continued adoption of digital platforms to enhance accessibility and efficiency.

The AGM will provide shareholders with an opportunity to receive and consider the company’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025, alongside the reports of the directors and auditors. Shareholders will also be expected to approve dividends, appoint or re-elect directors, authorise the directors to fix the remuneration of auditors, and transact any other business that may properly come before the meeting.

Airtel Uganda said detailed instructions on how to access the virtual meeting platform, register attendance, and vote electronically will be communicated to shareholders ahead of the meeting date.

The company has increasingly leveraged technology to engage its shareholders, reflecting its broader strategy of driving digital transformation and innovation across its operations.

The 2026 AGM follows the release of Airtel Uganda’s strong 2025 financial results, which showed growth in revenue and profitability, reinforcing the company’s position in Uganda’s telecommunications sector.

Shareholders are encouraged to take note of the date and participate in the virtual meeting.
