Asifiwe International Academy  officially begun its 10th anniversary celebrations with a lively sports gala that brought together several ACE schools in a spirited display of competition and camaraderie.

The event, held on February 28, 2026, at the school’s premises in Kisaasi, featured competitions in volleyball, football, basketball, netball, and chess. Students showcased not only athletic skill but also teamwork and discipline as they competed for honors.

The sports gala was officiated by Dr. Apollo Ahimbisibwe, the FUFA Executive Member for  Kampala Region Football Association.

In his address, the school’s Principal, Mr. Kintu David, thanked participating schools and parents for their continued support over the past decade.

He said the anniversary celebrations are a moment of reflection and gratitude for the academy’s journey and growth.

Dr. Ahimbisibwe used the occasion to stress the importance of discipline in sports, noting that success both on and off the field depends on strong values. He underscored the influence of coaches and parents in mentoring young athletes and shaping their character.

The sports gala is the first in a series of events planned to commemorate the milestone. The academy has scheduled a Talent and Innovation Exhibition Day on March 4, a Community Outreach and Thanksgiving Day on March 5, and a grand Anniversary Dinner on March 6.

The celebrations are being held under the theme “10 Years of God’s Grace,” reflecting the institution’s faith-based foundation and gratitude for a decade of service in education.
